Department Overview

The Scranton School District Department of Transportation is responsible for the transportation of SSD and non-public school students each day. Our fleet of vehicles is contracted out through multiple vendors and operate twelve months per year and consists of full size buses, 48 passenger buses, mini buses, and vans. Bus and van safety and the appropriate behavior of students is a very important concern of the Scranton School District. Students, parents, and guardians are reminded that their co-operations is greatly needed to assist in our efforts to transport students safely. During the school year, your child will receive instruction on proper bus behavior and safety. It is important to reinforce these rules and safety procedures with your child/children.
