John Marshall Elementary School is nurtured by its neighborhood environment, strong sense of community, and a dedicated, caring staff, parents, and volunteers. We shall educate our students by means of an innovative, creative learning system in a broad-based curriculum balancing strong academics with personal and civic responsibility in a safe and secure atmosphere that enhances life-long learning and personal growth.

We are located in West Scranton on Oram Street. Our grades encompass pre-school to fifth grade with both a full day and half-day kindergarten program. Our student population is over 400 students. Our PTA is one of the most active in the city and works hand-in-hand with our teachers and staff to ensure that each child reaches his or her full potential.
