Superintendent Dr. Alexis Kirijan Attends Martin Luther King Commission's Annual Celebration

Superintendent Dr. Alexis Kirijan and other Scranton School District officials recently attended the Greater Scranton Martin Luther King Commission's annual celebration. The keynote speaker was Linda Cliatt-Wayman, who is credited with turning around one of the most dangerous high schools in the country. Mrs. Cliatt-Wayman's persistence, sacrifice, and compassion are credited as key factors in the school's positive transition. All of these traits were embodied by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Superintendent Presents Strategic Plan to Scranton Chamber of Commerce

Superintendent Dr. Alexis Kirijan presented the district's 5 year strategic plan to the Scranton Chamber of Commerce this morning. The strategic plan is the district's first and is already showing tremendous success in its initial phase. "The plan will continue to be shared with all district stakeholders and serve as the roadmap for improvement across our district," said Dr. Kirijan.
